James L. Worsham Sr., 77, warehouseman

James L. Worsham Sr., a retired warehouseman, died of a heart attack Sunday at St. Agnes HealthCare. The Northwest Baltimore resident was 77.

Mr. Worsham was born and raised in Amelia County, Va., where he attended public schools.

He moved to Baltimore in 1945 and went to work at Fort Meade, where he was a warehouseman. He retired in 1981.

A member of the Prince Hall Masons, Mr. Worsham was also a longtime parishioner at Perkins Square Baptist Church and member of its usher board.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Samuel T. Daniels Sanctuary, 1301 Eutaw Place.

Mr. Worsham is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Anna Giles; two sons, James L. Worsham Jr. and Alvin Worsham, both of Baltimore; three daughters, Pamela Lomax of Upper Marlboro, and Phyllis Brown and Patricia Wade, both of Baltimore; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
