Staff to answer questions on recycling plan, county landfills

County staff members will answer questions and receive comments on Carroll's "Ten Year Solid Waste Management Plan" at 2 p.m. tomorrow.

The session precedes a public hearing on the plan at 2 p.m. Aug. 7 in Room 300A of the County Office Building. The county is seeking residents' comments on the plan that governs its landfills and recycling efforts.

The county staff session will be held in Room 003-004, Carroll County Office Building, 225 N. Center St., Westminster.

Anyone wishing to file written comments for the public hearing record may do so before, or at, the public hearing. Written comments should be addressed to Gary L. Horst, director, Department of Enterprise and Recreation Services, Room 100, 225 N. Center St., Westminster 21157- 5194.

A copy of the plan is available for review at each branch of the Carroll County Public Library and at the Carroll County Office Building, Room 100.
