Man faces charges tied to 13 robberies

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Police have charged a Charles County man with crimes related to 13 robberies in Howard and Anne Arundel counties.

Brian Keith Doukas, 29, of the 15100 block of Potomac River Drive, on Cobb Island, was arrested by Anne Arundel County police Tuesday after a witness reported that a man fled the scene of an attempted robbery, authorities said.

Police believe Doukas was involved in a string of robberies in the past several days. Howard County officials charged Doukas with a variety of crimes, including four counts of robbery. Anne Arundel police charged him with armed robbery, theft and robbery.

Both departments said they are continuing to investigate and that Doukas could face additional charges.

Doukas, who was also wanted in Anne Arundel on an unrelated assault charge, was being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center last night on $207,500 bail, authorities said. Of that, $200,000 was on the assault charge and $7,500 was on the robbery charges.
