The Wilde Lake High School Boosters Club seeks nominees for induction into its Athletic Hall of Fame, which recognizes Wilde Lake alumni who have continued in their endeavors.
A nominee must have graduated at least five years ago, have made a significant contribution in high school sports, have achieved success after graduation and be active in community life.

Central library plans craft program, book clubs
The central library is offering a children's craft program, "Let's Make Music," for ages 6 to 9 at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 1. The event will include making musical instruments. Registration, which begins tomorrow, is required.
"BOOK 'N' CHAT," a program for children ages 6 to 9, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 8. The event, "Will You Be My Friend?" will include a quick read, discussion and crafts.
"BOOK IT!" a new book club for children ages 9 to 11, will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 8. The group will discuss The School Story by Andrew Clements.
Registration for these two programs is required and begins Aug. 1.

Luau party: Howard County Department of Recreation and Parks will sponsor a Luau Party for senior citizens, ages 55 and older, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 8 at Florence Bain Senior Center, 5470 Ruth Keeton Way. Crab feast: River Hill Community Association will sponsor its sixth crab feast, an adults-only, all-you-can-eat event, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Aug. 17 at the River Hill pool, 6330 Trotter Road.
