Emaroy S. Warner, a homemaker who loved to travel and collect antiques, died Thursday at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. She was 77 and had suffered a stroke.

She and her husband, William S. Warner, lived in the Pinehurst section of Baltimore County for 38 years.

Emaroy Soulsby was born and raised in Baltimore and was a graduate of Forest Park High School. She briefly worked for Hutzler's department store before marrying Mr. Warner, who was finishing his stint as a Navy flier.

"She was a very warm, caring person, very open and gracious," said Mr. Warner, who had a long career as a stockbroker. "She liked people."

The couple enjoyed traveling and visited many European countries over the years. Mrs. Warner also was an avid gardener, collected antique furniture and clocks, and rooted for the Baltimore Orioles and the University of Maryland basketball team. She was a member of the Walters Art Museum and the Maryland Historical Society.

She was a member of Church of the Redeemer in North Baltimore.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the chapel of Church of the Redeemer, 5603 N. Charles St.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, William S. Warner Jr. of Yardley, Pa., and Thomas S. Warner of Towson; a daughter, Nancy Aspinwall of Timonium; and two grandchildren.
