Epstein receives emeritus honor from AACC

Anne Arundel Community College board of trustees has awarded Linda J. Epstein of Bowie the status of professor emeritus. Trustees recognized Epstein for her "successful and outstanding career" at AACC from 1979 to 2002.

Epstein, a registered nurse, came to the college in 1979 to teach first-year nursing students and rapidly moved up the nursing department ladder. She served as acting department head in 1984-1985, then headed the department in 1989-1991 and 1996-2001.

Her work as administrator included development of such programs as a Registered Nurse First Assistant Letter of Recognition, a Patient Care Technician certificate and licensed practical nurse completion program.
