Long & Foster sales hit $2 billion in June

Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. reported that it had total sales of $2 billion on 8,533 property sales last month. Overall, the Long & Foster companies - including its mortgage, title and insurance subsidiaries - had monthly sales of $2.9 billion, the best in the 34-year history of the Fairfax, Va.-based company.

Long & Foster also reported that its sales this year are up 19 percent from sales in the first six months of last year.

The Baltimore/Southern Pennsylvania region, with 51 offices, was up 13.3 percent last month. The top offices were Annapolis ($32 million in sales), Columbia ($22 million) and Howard County at Waverly Woods ($22 million)
