Balto. County school board re-elects leaders

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Donald L. Arnold, president of the Baltimore County Board of Education, and James R. Sasiadek, the vice president, were re-elected to the one-year positions last night.

"In this coming year, we have many challenges to address," said Arnold, who thanked fellow members. Arnold has been president for three years.

He and Sasiadek were unopposed, and the board voted unanimously in their favor.

Afterward, board member Warren C. Hayman urged rotating the officer positions, arguing that "it takes away the politics of it." Arnold asked school system lawyers to look into the idea.
