A Prince George's County man was killed Sunday when his motorcycle collided with a tractor-trailer on Fort Meade Road in Laurel, county police said.

Kurt Edward Smith, 40, of Laurel was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle west on Fort Meade Road around 5:30 p.m. when a eastbound truck driven by Andre E. Brunette, 50, of Fall River, Mass., turned in front of him, according to a police report.

Brunette was turning left from Fort Meade Road onto Old Portland Road. Smith hit Brunette's front bumper and was thrown from his motorcycle. He suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No charges have been filed against Brunette. The police investigation was continuing yesterday.
