Grand jury indicts Columbia man in Exxon robbery

A Howard County grand jury indicted a Columbia man Wednesday on three charges connected with the armed robbery of a Long Reach gas station in May.

Victor J. Morrison, 41, of the 7500 block of Rain Flower Way is charged with robbery, robbery with a dangerous and deadly weapon and theft of less than $500.

Police said a man with a handgun entered the Exxon station in Long Reach Village Center about 11:30 p.m. May 16 and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount cash, the robber fled, police said.

Morrison was being held Wednesday night at the Howard County Detention Center, awaiting a bond hearing.
