Sister Mary Glenn Fortson, a Religious Sister of Mercy and retired medical records librarian, died Friday of complications from a stroke at The Villa, her order's retirement home in North Baltimore. She was 90.
From 1949 to 1986, she directed the medical records department at Mercy Medical Center in downtown Baltimore. For the next eight years she worked in patient care.
Born Annie Glenn Fortson in Columbus, Ga., she entered the Sisters of Mercy in 1942 and was given the name Sister Mary William when she professed her vows in 1944.
In later years she took the name Sister Mary Glenn.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. today at The Villa, 6806 Bellona Ave.
She is survived by a nephew and three nieces.
