Eastern District
Shooting: A 15-year-old boy was walking in the 1000 block of Bonaparte Ave. about 4:15 p.m. Saturday when he was approached by a gunman. When the youth turned to flee, the gunman shot him in the left shoulder. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital and a warrant was being issued charging the gunman with attempted murder and a handgun violation. His name was being withheld pending his arrest.
Southeastern District
Burglary: Jewelry and a telephone -- all valued at more than $20,000 -- were stolen during the weekend from a house in the 500 block of S. Port St. by someone who entered through a first-floor door after breaking a window.
Southwestern District
Assault: Police were seeking a woman, 27, after she sprayed another woman in the face with a chemical irritant during an incident in the 1500 block of Poplar Grove St. on Saturday night.
Southern District
Rape: A woman, 44, was walking in the 700 block of E. Fort Ave. about 1 a.m. Saturday when she was grabbed by a man who forced her into a nearby dwelling and raped her. The man escaped, and the woman was treated at Mercy Medical Center.
Northern District
Burglary: Someone broke into an apartment at Homeland Apartments in the 300 block of Homeland Southway on Saturday and stole coins and gold jewelry -- all valued at more than $400.
Burglary: A power lawn mower and a bicycle -- all valued at $800 -- were stolen during the weekend from a shed in the 3300 block of Hickory Ave.
Baltimore County
Parkville Precinct
Sex offense: Police were seeking two men who sexually assaulted a woman shortly after 1 a.m. Friday after one of them stole her purse as she walked along Putty Hill Avenue near Summit. After pleading for the return of her ID and bus pass, the men returned them after assaulting her in their car.
Cockeysville Precinct
Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 1500 block of Pickett Road in Timonium early Saturday and removed $600 in cash from a bedroom.
