Audrey Jednorski, a homemaker who was formerly an FBI secretary, died Tuesday of complications from Alzheimer's disease at Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care in Towson. She was 69 and lived in Overlea.
She retired from the FBI in the 1960s. She was also a volunteer at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Overlea and helped coordinate Masses for couples celebrating their wedding anniversaries and couples planning baptisms.
Born Audrey Mantler in Baltimore, she was raised on Presbury Street in West Baltimore. She was a 1950 graduate of Mount St. Agnes High School in Mount Washington.
A Mass of Christian burial was offered Saturday.
She is survived by Florian Jednorski, her husband of 44 years; five sons, Mark Jednorski of Kingsville, Chris Jednorski of Overlea, Paul Jednorski of White Marsh, Steve Jednorski of Toledo, Ohio, and Mike Jednorski of Overlea; a sister, Clementine Patanella of Eldersburg; and 12 grandchildren.
