Tai Sophia Institute appoints new vice president
Mary Ellen Petrisko, a resident of Annapolis, has been appointed academic vice president of the Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts.
A former vice president of academic affairs at the University of Maryland University College and deputy secretary of Higher Education at the Maryland Higher Education Commission, Petrisko will be responsible for oversight of the institute's academic programs. Tai Sophia Institute offers graduate education and advanced degrees in acupuncture, botanical healing and applied healing arts.
Lincoln Tech director, staffers attend conference
Ronald L. Beall, executive director of Lincoln Technical Institute Inc. of Columbia, and seven staff members were selected to participate in a five-day conference at Weston Hotel in Grand Cayman arranged by Lincoln Educational Services of West Orange, N.J.
The event brought together representatives from 23 schools.
Optinel Systems appoints vice president of operations
William Pizii has been appointed vice president of operations by Optinel Systems of Elkridge, a privately held provider of optical communication systems for the cable market.
Pizii will be responsible for the development and implementation of business operations to support the company's recent introduction of a cable transport system.
