Police investigate 3 killings

A 24-year-old man was found shot to death Saturday on a street near his home on the city's west side, police reported.

Donte Hicks of the 800 block of W. Fayette St. was found dead of a single bullet wound to the head about 10:15 p.m. Saturday after a pedestrian alerted Western District officers that a man was lying in the 100 block of N. Poppleton St.

Police also released yesterday the names of two other men killed in unrelated incidents since Friday: James Lamont Ray, 24, of the 2800 block of Scarborough Circle in Woodlawn, who was shot to death Friday afternoon in the 600 block of Braddish Ave. in West Baltimore; and Michael Wallace, 21, of the 700 block of N. Linwood Ave., found stabbed about 4 a.m. Saturday on a parking lot behind Roland Billiards in the 400 block of E. 25th St.

No arrests have been made. Police ask anyone with information about the killings to call homicide detectives at 410-396- 2100.
