Media company Take One Digital wins Telly Award

Take One Digital Media Works of Annapolis has won a Telly Award for its commercials for Washington Isuzu dealers and Central Carolina Nissan. The commercials were produced with Fowler Advertising of Glen Burnie.

The spots used digital effects, 32-bit character generation and multiformat editing.

The Telly Awards were founded in 1980 to showcase and honor outstanding nonnetwork and cable commercials. The competition was expanded several years ago to include film and video productions.

Public relations group sets direct-mail seminar

The use of direct mail by marketing professionals will be the topic of the Annapolis and Anne Arundel chapter of the Public Relations Society of America's professional development seminar at 8 a.m. June 27 at Annapolis City Hall, 160 Duke of Gloucester St.

Jack Ellis, owner of Post Haste Mailing, will speak.

Walsh financial group moves to new offices

Promoted: Bank of Glen Burnie has promoted Yvonne "Rie" Atkinson to assistant vice president. Atkinson will serve as the bank's Community Reinvestment Act officer.

Honored: Christopher D. Hoen of Annapolis, a financial adviser with the Annapolis office of American Express Financial Advisors, recently was honored with the President's Recognition Award.
