Man, city boy killed in apparently unrelated incidents
Baltimore police are investigating the killings of a city teen-ager and an unidentified man early yesterday.
Phillip Adams, a city resident, was shot five days shy of his 16th birthday. He was killed shortly before 3 a.m. during an apparent robbery in the 2000 block of Hollins St., said Detective Michael Baier. Baier said the robber grabbed Adams, put a gun to his head and fired once. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
About an hour later, a man was fatally stabbed in the 400 block of 25th St. His identity was unknown last night.
Police do not believe the two slayings are related, and they have no witnesses to the 25th Street killing.
The homicides are the city's 119th and 120th this year.
