Music for strings, wind instruments is Sunday at CCC
Chamber Music on the Hill will highlight music for strings and wind instruments at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Great Hall at Carroll Community College.
Featured works for Sunday's concert are Sonata for Cello and Piano by Chopin, Horn Trio by Brahms, and Overture on Hebrew Themes by Prokofiev.
Admission is $10 and $5 for seniors. Students are admitted free with valid identification. Tickets will be sold at the door. Information: 410-857-2599.
Arts development grants offered by state council
Community Arts Development (CAD) grants are available to nonprofit organizations presenting arts and cultural activities in Carroll County.
The CAD grants are designed to help strengthen local arts organizations and improve cultural opportunities for Carroll County residents.
Applicants must be based in Carroll County and conduct their regular operations, performances or activities in locations that are in full compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations.
Commercial businesses, individuals, programs within the public school system, and for-profit ventures are not eligible.
Projects must take place between July 1 and June 30, 2003.
Awards range from $300 to $3,500. Funds are provided by the Maryland State Arts Council.

Completed applications are due by 3 p.m. June 28.

On the Veranda teatime planned Sundays in July
Carroll County Farm Museum invites visitors to On the Veranda teas from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. July 7, 21 and 28. Included are sweet treats and a guided tour of the farmhouse.
Reservations are required. The cost is $5, which includes museum admission.

Winners are announced in Fiddlers' Convention
Carroll County Farm Museum has announced the winners of this year's Fiddlers' Convention held Sunday. More than 70 entrants competed for prize money in excess of $3,000.
