The Coordinating Center for Home and Community Care in Millersville has announced that Caroline M. Ulsamer, Betsy Bernstein and Tiffanie Salvaggio have joined the center as part of its Care Management Group. They will be coordinating services for people who have extraordinary health care needs and disabilities and are residing in their own homes and communities.
Ulsamer is a graduate of the Catholic University of America and comes to the center from Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she worked in medical-surgical nursing. She is a resident of Sparks.
Bernstein was educated at Skidmore College and worked in care management with Aetna Healthcare. She lives in West River.
Salvaggio worked at Anne Arundel Medical Center, the University of Maryland Medical Center and the Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
The Coordinating Center is a nonprofit organization accredited as a case management certification agency and certified under the Maryland Nonprofits Standards for Excellence program. The center implements and monitors highly specialized home-care services for people with complex medical needs and disabilities.

Gotta dance: Carter School of Dance, sponsored by the YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, will hold a beginning adult tap class at the studio, 17 Cypress Creek Road, Severna Park. Classes will meet from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning June 18, and run for six weeks. The fee for the class is $60 and YWCA membership is required. 410-626-7800.
Boating safety: The Friends of the Anne Arundel County Trails Inc. will present a Maryland Basic Boating Safety Course on Monday, June 21 and June 24 at the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Department. The course provides an overview of the rules and fundamentals of safe boating and will familiarize students with required safety equipment.
