Area police are looking for information about a gunman wanted in five robberies of convenience stores in Howard, Carroll and Frederick counties - the most recent in Woodbine.
About 11:50 p.m. Monday, a man entered the 7-Eleven in the 7600 block of Woodbine Road and confronted two employees with a revolver, police said. The man demanded money and fled with a small amount of cash to what the police suspect was a waiting vehicle, according to Maryland State Police at Westminster. No one was injured.
The same man is being sought by Howard County police in two robberies and by the Frederick County sheriff's office, state police said. He is wanted in robberies including an Amoco in Lisbon, a 7-Eleven in Taylorsville and a Shell station near Mount Airy in Frederick County - all since May 24, authorities said.
The man in the most recent robbery is described as black, 20 to 30 years old, about 6 feet tall, medium build, clean-shaven, and wearing a dark baseball cap, dark-blue T-shirt and dark knee-length shorts with black ankle-high shoes. The vehicle was described as a dark-color late model full-size pickup truck with silver trim and tinted windows.
Anyone with information is asked to call the barracks at 410-386-3000.
