Anne Arundel County Executive Janet S. Owens has announced that Corporate Express, a global leader in business-to-business office products and computer supplies, will build a distribution center in Hanover.

It is anticipated that the facility will be completed by the spring of next year and will employ approximately 300 people.

Health Department offers Healthy Business Kit

Anne Arundel County Health Department is offering a free Learn to Live Healthy Business Kit to help businesses promote healthy lifestyles among their employees. The kit helps employers begin or supplement work site wellness programs by providing cancer-awareness and -prevention materials.

Studies show that employee health communication has many benefits, including improved health and morale. Companies with work site wellness programs report lower absenteeism, and reduced health insurance costs. The Healthy Business Kit includes posters, fliers and copy-ready materials that can be posted, reproduced for distribution or published in newsletters.
