Man fatally shot in East Baltimore
A 21-year-old Baltimore man was found with fatal gunshot wounds to the head early yesterday in East Baltimore, police said.
Officers found Antoine Austin of the 800 block of Patterson Park Ave. lying on the pavement near his home about 2:30 a.m., after neighbors reported hearing gunfire. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead 20 minutes later.
The police said last night they had no suspects in the shooting.

Landover man killed when motorcycle hits van
BOWIE - A 27-year-old man died yesterday after his motorcycle collided with a minivan on U.S. 50 west of Route 197 in Bowie, state police said.
Wallace Edward Thompson Jr. of Landover was traveling at high speed about 6 p.m. when he struck the back of the minivan and was thrown from his Suzuki sport motorcycle, witnesses told police. He was pronounced dead at Prince George's Hospital Center an hour later, police said. No one in the minivan was injured.
Trooper Shawn Tupper said the accident forced the closure of westbound lanes until 7:45 p.m., causing delays and sending motorists on detours along local roads.

Salisbury man killed in single-car accident
BERLIN - One Salisbury man was killed and another was seriously injured yesterday afternoon when the Dodge Spirit in which were traveling veered into a ditch and flipped on U.S. 50 west of Berlin, state police said.
The driver, Vaughn Cecil Young, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, Matthew Joel Richardson, 20, was being treated at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
State police Cpl. Rob Phillips said the crash was under investigation.
