A Laurel man sought in the shooting last month of a man in Pioneer City was arrested and charged yesterday by Anne Arundel County police.
Terrel Tyjuan Bush, 21, who has no fixed address, was found hiding in a closet of a Glen Burnie apartment early yesterday afternoon by detectives from the county police career criminal unit, police officials said.
Bush is charged with first-degree attempted murder in the shooting of Marcellis Lennel Anderson, 21, on May 11 in the 1900 block of Arwell Court, according to police reports. The two apparently were arguing over a girl.
Anderson survived the four gunshot wounds - in his stomach, chest and shoulder - after spending nearly a week at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Eight years ago, Anderson, of the Baltimore Highlands neighborhood, was briefly jailed for his role in a shooting in Severn that police say arose from a drug deal gone awry.
He was subsequently banned from going into the Pioneer City and Meade Village neighborhoods, police records show.
Bush was arrested and charged two years ago with possession of marijuana in Prince George's County, but the case was placed on an inactive court docket.
Anne Arundel County police have been looking for him since the May 11 shooting.
Bush was being held at the county detention center without bail last night.
