'Under the Big Tooth Top' at museum

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Need something to smile about? Summer's around the corner, and the National Museum of Dentistry is welcoming the season's arrival with a circus-themed family celebration Saturday. Now let's see that smile. That's it.

"Under the Big Tooth Top" will feature dental treasure hunts, toothbrush games, Horn's Punch and Judy Show, face-painting by Bambini, clown-art activities and more. Visitors can explore the interactive exhibition Terrific Tooth Tales, tour Branches, Bristles and Batteries: Toothbrushes Through Time, and see toothy displays at 32 Terrific Teeth.

The museum's back yard will become a summer barbecue area with grilled foods and snacks. Visitors will receive free smile kits and other dental giveaways. And a dental hygienist will be on hand to offer free oral-health-care information.

"Under the Big Tooth Top" runs 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the National Museum of Dentistry, 31 S. Greene St. $3; free for ages 6 and under. Call 410-706-0600 or 410-706-0810.
