Baltimore City

Eastern District

Arrest: Deontae Douglas Hughes, 21, of the 900 block of E. 20th St. has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting May 11 of Eddie Fogg in the 1900 block of Oak Hill Ave. Fogg, 42, of Turners Station, Baltimore County, was shot several times during what appeared to be a robbery and died at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Detective Mark Veney said Hughes was being held at Central Booking in two unrelated cases of attempted murder when he was charged Saturday in Fogg's death.

Southern District

Theft: Ten cases of beef jerky valued at $800 were stolen yesterday from a 1983 Chevrolet van parked in the 1700 block of Eagle St. Blood found in the vehicle indicated the thief was cut while forcing open a door.

Northern District

Carjacking: A gunman forced five men out of a teal 1998 Toyota Cressida in the 600 block of Montpelier St. about 3:30 a.m. Monday and rode off in the vehicle, which had temporary tags.

Burglary: A 27-inch television, 30 compact discs, a vacuum cleaner and a videocassette recorder- all valued at $1,000 - were stolen from a house in the 2700 block of Guilford Ave. on Monday by someone who entered through a rear window.

Southeastern District

Burglary: Property valued at $200 was stolen between May 30 and June 3 from the Southeast Community Organization's Project Head Start in the 600 block of N. Linwood Ave.

Western District

Cab holdup: Police were seeking three men who robbed a female driver for Jimmy's Cab of more than $250 at gunpoint in the 1700 block of W. Franklin St. early Sunday.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 41, was robbed of a canvas bag about noon Monday in the 7500 block of Oakleigh Road by a man who implied he had a gun.

Burglary: Golfing equipment and a stereo receiver were stolen Monday from a storage locker in an apartment building in the 4000 block of Silver Spring Road.-
