The junior outfielder powered the Knights to the Franklin Invitational championship last weekend.
In an 11-6 defeat of Calvert Hall at the Franklin Invitational, Brown went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBIs and three runs scored. He went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs as Parkville stunned then-No. 10 McDonogh, 7-3, in the championship game.
He also pitched two scoreless innings to record his first save of the season. For the year, Brown is batting .428 and leads the team in doubles with four and RBIs with six. As a pitcher, he is 1-0. The Knights are 4-0 overall, 2-0 in Baltimore County.
Mount de Sales, lacrosse
The senior attacker led the Sailors to their most successful week in at least six years. Her 13 goals and nine assists paced the Sailors (5-1-2) to an undefeated week that boosted them into the Top 15 at No. 11.
It all started with a 6-6 tie against No. 4 Bryn Mawr in which Kirby scored the game-tying goal and finished with two goals and an assist. She had three goals and an assist in a 6-5 win over No. 5 Roland Park. At the Best of the West tournament Saturday, Kirby had eight goals and seven assists as the Sailors swept Centennial and Catonsville to take the title.
Kirby, who is being recruited by several colleges, has 14 goals and 10 assists this season.
