Spring Job Expo to be held March 28 at AACC in Arnold
A Spring Job Expo will be held from noon to 4 p.m. March 28 in the cafeteria of Anne Arundel Community College's Arnold campus. More than 60 employers, including Adecco Employment Services, Allfirst Bank and Foot Locker Inc., are expected to attend.
Employers interested in reserving table space should do so by March 8. Last year, more than 2,000 job seekers attended a similar event.
Center to offer courses in conflict resolution
Anne Arundel Conflict Resolution Center is offering training courses in learning mediation, conflict resolution and communication skills.
"Basic I Mediation," to be held Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and March 4, will cover conflict theory and an overview of the mediation process. "Basic II Mediation," to be offered March 14, 16, 17 and 18, builds on the skills learned in Basic I. Each course is 20 hours and will take place at Anne Arundel Community College. The cost is $500 for both classes.
A 10-week course, "Effectiveness Training," will be held Mondays from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Heritage Center, Suite 130, 2666 Riva Road, Annapolis, beginning March 18. Topics include conflict resolution, goal setting and problem solving. The cost is $150.

Ethics: The Public Relations Society of America, Anne Arundel Chapter, will meet at 8 a.m. Thursday at Ram's Head Tavern, 33 West St., Annapolis. David Swanston, a former reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle who has served as a member of PRSA's National Board of Ethics, will discuss the ethics of public relations. Fashion show: The Maryland Capital Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will hold its annual Fashion Show from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. March 13 at the Radisson Hotel Annapolis.
