Applications sought for homebuilders' excellence awards

The Home Builders Association of Maryland Sales and Marketing Council will be accepting applications for the 2001 annual Maryland Awards of Excellence through Wednesday. The awards, designed to recognize excellence in home design and marketing, and new-home sales professionals, are entering their 25th year.

This year, small-volume and large-volume builders will be judged separately in all single-family, townhouse and multifamily categories and marketing awards, and a new category will address the popularity of "active adult" housing, for those 55 and older. The new Exceptional Sales Achievement award will honor sales success in the face of extraordinary barriers.
