Burglary: A thief broke through the basement window of a home in the 1600 block of Heathfield Road on Wednesday and stole CDs, computer games and a combination television-video recorder. The items were valued at $1,700.
Theft from vehicle: A robber smashed the window of a 1990 Accord in the 1200 block of Northview Road on Wednesday and stole a set of golf clubs. The clubs were valued at $600.
Armed robbery: A woman was robbed of $45 at gunpoint while walking in the 3000 block of Spaulding Ave. shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday. The woman reported that a man wearing black boots, black pants, a black coat and a black ski mask removed a small handgun from his coat pocket, turned her away from him, held the gun to her head and said, "Give me all you got."
Robbery: A robber walked into the Young's Mart store in Old Town Mall about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and made off with nine watches, two computer games and $150. The robber was wearing a black baseball cap and black hooded sweatshirt.
Theft from auto: Compact discs of unknown value were reported stolen about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday from a car parked in the 300 block of Robert St. A window was broken to gain entry.
Theft: A man sat next to a 67-year-old woman in the 2500 block of Frederick Ave. about 7 p.m. Tuesday, then grabbed her green bag, leather gloves and black umbrella and fled.
Arson: Someone broke into a home in the 3300 block of Winterbourne Road yesterday and set a third-floor hallway carpet on fire.
Rape: A woman said she went to a man's apartment in the 4400 block of Evamay Road about 3 a.m. Wednesday, and that when she tried to leave, she was forced into a bedroom and raped. Police arrested a 46-year-old man on charges of rape, false imprisonment and resisting arrest.
Burglary: A thief broke into Health Trends Research in the 1800 block of Greentree Road between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. yesterday and stole a Dell laptop computer. The computer was found outside, smashed on the ground.
Attempted robbery: A man walking in the first block of Cahill St. about 10:10 a.m. yesterday said he was approached by a man with a gun, who was wearing a black sweat shirt, sweat pants and ski hat. The two men began fighting and the man with the gun fled.
