Hoffman and Piefer join Live Baltimore
Live Baltimore Marketing Center hired Jason Hoffman as marketing coordinator and Yana Piefer as corporate marketing manager.
Hoffman, who holds an associates degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, manages the "I Love City Living Ambassadors" program. He was formerly events coordinator for the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Piefer, a former account executive with Bevel Design Inc., is in charge of the "Live Near Your Work" program. She is a graduate of Catawba College.
Bolton Offutt Donovan hires Smith for D.C. office
Bolton Offutt Donovan, an actuarial, benefits and investment consulting firm with offices in Baltimore and Washington, hired David W.B. Smith as consultant and director of marketing in the Washington office. A graduate of Bates College, Smith was previously in the institutional sales division of MetLife and is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters.
Canatella rejoins KCI as a vice president
KCI Technologies, a Hunt Valley-based engineering firm, named Carl E. Canatella as a vice president and head of the mechanical and electrical division. Canatella previously worked for KCI from 1975 to 1993 as a project manager and division chief. A resident of Essex, the Johns Hopkins University graduate is a member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers and the Society of American Military Engineers. He recently served as president of the Consulting Engineers Council of Maryland.
Weber goes to URS as mechanical engineer
URS Corp. hired Stephen C. Weber as senior mechanical engineer in its facilities division. Weber, a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, received a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University.
Maryland General appoints Brandon
Maryland General Hospital named Gary Brandon assistant vice president of administration for the health care facility. An M.B.A. graduate of Loyola College, he was formerly with Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
