Shooting/arrest: A man was shot in the 100 block of W. Fayette St. about 8 p.m. Tuesday. Moments later, police arrested a suspect in a nearby McDonald's restaurant and recovered a 9 mm semiautomatic handgun in a trashcan there. Sgt. Kurosh Jahromi said the victim was wounded in the left arm and treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Jahromi said that before the shooting, the men were in a Baltimore County motel, where they were to meet at least two women. He said that when the women didn't show up, one of the men tried to sexually assault the other. The men left the motel together and drove downtown, where an argument broke out and the shooting occurred, Jahromi said. Raymond Deon Fitzgerald, 18, whose address was not available, was charged with attempted murder and a handgun violation.
Theft from vehicle: Power tools valued at nearly $2,500 were stolen Tuesday from a 1989 Ford F-150 pickup truck parked in the 1500 block of Byrd St.
Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 1500 block of Olive St. on Tuesday through a first-floor window and stole more than $1,000.

Rape: A man, 24, was arrested Monday and was being held pending charges that he assaulted and raped a woman, 42, that day in a vacant apartment in the 1600 block of Old Eastern Ave.
Burglary: Someone entered New Images Hair Design in the 1200 block of Race Road through a door overnight Monday and stole more than $100.
Burglary: Cash and tools - all of unknown value - were stolen overnight Tuesday from DeWalt Factory Service in the 7000 block of Rossville Blvd.
Robbery: A woman, 32, was walking toward Circuit City in the 6000 block of Baltimore National Pike about 3 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman robbed her of her purse containing cash and property - all valued at more than $20. The gunman escaped.
Bank robbery: After giving a teller a holdup note about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, a man robbed Leeds Federal Savings Bank, in the Leeds Building in the 1100 block of Maiden Choice Lane in Arbutus, of an undisclosed sum of money. The robber said he was armed but did not display a weapon.
