Businesses sought for listing in senior resource directory

The Howard County Office on Aging seeks listings from businesses, agencies and organizations that offer assistance or services to seniors for an updated version of its resource directory for senior citizens, their caregivers, families and friends.

Listings in "Senior Resources" are provided free.

Marketing historical sites to be topic of meeting

The Maryland Professional Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications will meet from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Historic London Town and Gardens in Edgewater.

The speaker is Janell Lash, director of sales and special events for London Town, who will discuss marketing a historical site and London Town's recent emergence as a major archaeological site.

Refreshments will be served. Admission is free for AWC members; nonmembers pay $8. Reservations are requested.

Chamber of Commerce to hold networking event

The Howard County Chamber of Commerce will hold a Business After Business networking event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow at Belmont Conference Center, 6555 Belmont Woods Road, Elkridge. Admission is $10 for members; $20 for nonmembers.

New board members will be installed at a general membership luncheon at 11:30 a.m. May 30 at Turf Valley in Ellicott City. Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend will speak. Admission is $25 for members; $30 for nonmembers, with a $10 surcharge for those registering after May 25.
