Division I final
Site: Homewood Field, Johns Hopkins Time: 3:10 p.m. Outlook: In their eighth straight trip to the national championship game, the Terps face a first-time finalist. The Terps are 10-0 against the Hoyas, including last month's 13-9 regular-season win. However, Georgetown has a powerhouse attack led by All-Americans Sheehan Stanwick (70 goals, 36 assists) and Erin Elbe (52, 26). But Maryland is tournament tested and boasts the best player in the game, two-time National Player of the Year Jen Adams, who recently became the all-time points (440) and assists (174) leader in the history of women's collegiate lacrosse. Adams has 87 goals and 56 assists this season, followed by Quinn Carney (47, 25) and Allison Comito (42, 28). Goalies could also be a factor in this one. Georgetown's Bowen Holden (6.45 goals against average) has been solid; Maryland recently has rotated starter Alexis Venechanos (7.49) with Virginia Solomon (5.36).
