Man shot on Eastmont dies later at hospital


An unidentified man was shot in Northeast Baltimore yesterday evening and died a short time later at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, police said.

Detective Blane Vucci said the victim, who appeared to be in his early 30s, was standing in the 4100 block of Eastmont Ave. at Sinclair Lane, near Archbishop Curley High School, about 7 p.m. when an unknown assailant shot him several times. Vucci said the victim was taken to Bayview, where he died about 30 minutes later. Vucci said no arrest had been made and a motive was unknown.
