Preakness Stakes

THE BALTIMORE SUN

The 126th running of the Preakness Stakes takes place next Saturday. Several events are planned in the days leading up to the race. Here are this weekend's events:

Today

BB&T; Hot Air Balloon Festival, 6 a.m., Druid Hill Park (near the Baltimore Zoo, Exit 7-A off I-83).

Cosamin Digital Harbor Dash Preakness 5-K. 9 a.m. starting from the Can Company, Boston Street, Canton. $25 race day.

Cingular Wireless Preakness Parade, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. along Pratt Street, between Eutaw Street and Market Place.

BalloonGlow and concert, 2 p.m.-9 p.m. Oregon Ridge Park. (exit 20-B off I-83). A day of entertainment by local bands. Dozens of hot-air balloons provide a glowing backdrop beginning at dusk.

Tomorrow

BB&T; Hot Air Balloon Festival, begins 6 a.m., Oregon Ridge Park.
