Officer assaulted/arrest: Officer Michael Young was investigating drug activity Wednesday in the 400 block of Parrish St. when he was struck by a bicycle ridden by a man leaving the area, police said. Young was not injured. Arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer and processed at Central Booking and Intake Center was Jerry Dolan Sowers, 33, of the 300 block of S. Woodyear St.
Stolen vehicle: A four-door tan 1986 Chevrolet with tags NRV 478 was stolen overnight Tuesday in the 1400 block of Race St.
Burglary: Fifty bottles of liquor and 70 cases of beer - all valued at $1,500 - were stolen early Wednesday from Backstretch Lounge in the 5000 block of Curtis Ave. by someone who entered through the roof.
Robbery: A gunman entered Sip & Bite Restaurant in the 2200 block of Boston St. about 4 a.m. Wednesday and gave an employee a note demanding money. The gunman fled with a small sum.
Robbery: A boy, 10, was riding his motorized bicycle in the 200 block of N. Montford Ave. about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday when a man in his early 20s shoved the boy off the vehicle and stole it. The bicycle was valued at more than $200.
Burglary: Three rolls of fiber-optic cable - each weighing a ton and with a combined value of $80,000 - were stolen overnight Tuesday from a storage shed at Network Tech. Inc. in the 1000 block of Fells St.
Burglary/arrest: Police arrested a man accused of breaking into a house in the 7800 block of Price Lane. The man also is accused of assaulting at least two police officers while in custody. Charged with burglary and assaulting police officers was Terrence Smith, 33, of the first block of Ambo Circle in Essex.
Burglary: An undisclosed sum of money was stolen early Wednesday from several poker machines at Windjammer CafM-i in the 700 block of Bowleys Quarters Road by someone who entered after breaking a sliding glass door.
Burglary: A DVD player and several DVDs were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 1400 block of Hadwick Drive.
Burglary: Someone entered a construction area at North Plaza Mall in the 8800 block of Waltham Woods Road overnight Wednesday and stole a building material lifting machine valued at more than $2,000.
Robbery: A boy, 16, was riding his mountain bicycle on Texas Avenue near Avondale Road on Wednesday afternoon when he was knocked to the ground by several other youths who stole the bicycle - valued at more than $500.
Burglary: More than $100 was stolen overnight Tuesday from Glass Slipper Wedding Center at the Beltway Plaza Shopping Center in the 7700 block of Belair Road by someone who entered through a window.
Robbery try: A gunman attempted to rob the Crown service station in the 7400 block of Liberty Road about 12:20 a.m. Wednesday but fled when the cashier refused to open the register.

Theft: Someone entered the kitchen of a house in the 2000 block of Dineen Drive on Wednesday and stole $600.
Theft/arrest: A boy, 13, was arrested Wednesday when he attempted to leave Ames in the 8400 block of Eastern Blvd. without paying for Pokemon and other collectible cards - all valued at $237. The boy was released into the custody of his parents.
Stolen car: A 1993 Dodge Dynasty with tags RKY 150 was stolen Wednesday from a parking lot in the 100 block of St. Helena Ave.

Information sought: Police investigating the killing of a man on May 10, 1999, are seeking the public's help in identifying his killer. Tyrone Delbert Jackson, 29, was shot several times after answering a knock at the door of his home in the 3800 block of Belle Ave. Anyone with information is urged to call Detective Kevin Buie at 410-396-2100.
