Krissy Warnock scored five goals and Lauren Peck added four goals and four assists to lead Loyola to a 17-8 victory over UMBC in women's lacrosse yesterday at Curley Field.
Warnock scored three first-half goals as the Greyhounds (1-0) scored the first 10 goals of the game en route to an 11-1 lead at halftime.
UMBC (1-1) controlled the beginning of the second half as Amanda Eldridge and Renee Triocchi each scored within the first minute of play.
Loyola showed its domination again, scoring four straight goals to put the game out of the reach of the Retrievers.
