A 26-year-old man is being sought by Baltimore police in connection with a series of sexual assaults and robberies since late December.
A warrant has been issued for Dante Anthony Green, also known as Donte Antoine Smith, in connection with a rape Thursday night in the 1700 block of N. Carey St. and an attempted armed robbery the same night in the 2200 block of W. Lexington St., authorities said.
"We believe he may be involved in as many as 14 sexual assaults and armed robberies," said Agent Angelique Cook-Hayes.
Most of the attacks occurred in West Baltimore, but some were in the Central and Southwestern police districts, she said.
According to victims, the attacker brandished a black semi-automatic handgun with white tape around the handle, police said.
Police described Green as African-American, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds and missing a front tooth. He is often seen wearing a black leather jacket with a dragon on the back, according to police.
