The crime report is a sampling of crimes in Howard County compiled from police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-313-3700.

West Columbia

Willow Bottom: 11100 block, Harper's Choice. A door was pried open, and a safe containing an unknown amount of money was removed Sept. 20 from Hobbits Glen Golf Club. According to police, the doors of Coho Grill at the country club were pried open, and money was taken from a cash register and a safe.

Bushwood Way: 10900 block, Harper's Choice. A man was seen exposing himself as he walked out of woods onto Bushwood Way on Sept. 19. When the man realized he had been seen, he ran back into the woods.

Turtle Dove Way: 6700 block, Kings Contrivance. Electronic equipment was taken from a residence Monday.

Ellicott City

Brittany Drive: 4100 block. The door of a house was kicked in and the premises was ransacked Friday. Money, jewelry and electronic equipment were taken.

High Ridge Road: 8500 block. Police responded to a breaking and entering in progress at the Head Start Building on Thursday. Officers found a boy in the building and arrested him.

N. Laurel/Savage/Jessup

Washington Blvd.: 7900 block, Jessup. A man entered a High's store Saturday night and said he had a gun. The man took an unknown amount of money from the register and fled. The man was described as having a pony tail and wearing jeans, a blue sweat shirt and a red bandana.

Dorsey Run Road: 7100 block, Jessup. Two people took equipment from a Chesapeake Sprinkler System construction site Monday. Police say one of the pair distracted an employee during the burglary.

Guilford Road: 11300 block, Jessup. A locked gate of the Salvation Army was cut Sept. 19. Furniture and clothing were stolen.

Cresthill Court: 8700 block, North Laurel. Two people tried to enter a residence Monday night. Police say they arrested Dewarn Arrick Harris, 26, of the 200 block of Pine Cove Ave., Odenton, and charged him with burglary.
