Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
Arrest: Police investigating a report of a domestic assault in a house in the 800 block of N. Carey St. on Friday found two Molotov cocktails in the bathroom. The occupants of the house were evacuated and the bottles, containing a liquid fuel and wicks, were turned over to Emergency Services Unit officers. Charged with assault and possession of incendiary devices was Arrah D. Tabe, 53, a resident of the dwelling.
Shooting: A teen-age male was in the 2300 block of W. North Ave. about 4 a.m. Saturday when an unknown gunman fired several shots, hitting him once in the left arm. Another man, who police said was a bystander, was shot in the right leg. Both were treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center and released.
Drug arrests: Police with a search warrant entered a house in the 500 block of N. Carrollton Ave. early Friday and arrested two women and recovered nearly $1,500 worth of suspected cocaine and a 9 mm semiautomatic handgun whose serial number was obliterated. The women, whose names were not available, were processed at Central Booking and Intake Center.
Burglary: A 27-inch television and 25 compact discs were stolen from a house in the 1900 block of W. Mulberry St. over the weekend by someone who entered through a rear kitchen door.
Rape: A woman, 38, was in the 1900 block of E. Preston St. about 3 a.m. Saturday when a man armed with a knife forced her into a nearby vacant dwelling, struck her several times with his hands and raped her. The man fled and the woman was treated at Mercy Medical Center.
Robbery/arrest: A woman was arrested Saturday night and charged with assaulting and robbing another woman in the 700 block of N. Linwood Ave. of $1 while threatening the victim with a pair of scissors. The suspect also was charged with possession of suspected narcotics.
Robbery: A woman, 26, was in the 1000 block of Bonaparte Ave. about 8 a.m. Saturday when a man she knows robbed her of $10.
Burglary: Someone entered a storage trailer at Saval Foods in the 4600 block of Pulaski Highway over the weekend and stole food processing equipment, a 5-horsepower tiller and seven tires, all valued at nearly $6,000.
Robbery: Police were seeking three young males who attacked a man, 38, in the 2900 block of E. Madison St. about 6 a.m. Saturday and robbed him of $60. The victim suffered head and facial injuries and was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Robbery: A gunman robbed a man, 45, of his wallet and $50 in the 1800 block of Sherwood Ave. about 1 a.m. Saturday.
Robbery: A man, 30, was walking across the grounds of Arlington Elementary School in the 5400 block of Narcissus Ave. about 10:15 p.m. Saturday when a man robbed him of $14.
Burglary: Power tools valued at nearly $500 were stolen from a house under renovation in the 3600 block of Fairview Ave. over the weekend by someone who entered through a rear door.
Burglary: Someone entered Hemingway Groceries in the 4000 block of Gwen Oak Ave. on Friday and stole groceries and cigarettes, all valued at more than $300.
North Point Precinct
Shoplifting/arrest: A security officer at Wal-Mart in the 2300 block of North Point Blvd. detained a man Saturday who tried to leave the store without paying for a digital camera and several compact discs, all valued at more than $350. The man, 35, from Southwest Baltimore, was charged with theft. His name was not available.
Theft/arrest: A man, 44, tried to leave Sears at the Eastpoint Mall on Saturday without paying for a compact disc player and an electric shaver, all valued at $100. He was arrested by a store security officer.
