Best and worst

Best breakout: In his most extensive opportunity of the season, Ravens rookie RB Jamal Lewis gained 76 yards on nine carries, including a run of 45 yards in the first half.

Best improvisation: DE Rob Burnett was in the right spot to gather in an interception after James Trapp had the ball stripped by the Dolphins' Thurman Thomas.

Worst first half: Ravens QB Tony Banks, who underthrew Patrick Johnson inside the Miami 5, and fumbled twice. Banks had the ball knocked out of his grasp by Obafemi Ayanbadejo on one miscue, and recovered the ball himself. The fumbles were the 59th and 60th of Banks' 59-game NFL career.

Most conservative game plan: The Dolphins, who had Jay Fiedler attempt just nine throws in the first half, completing four for 39 yards.

Best runback: Miami's Jeff Ogden returned a Kyle Richardson punt 31 yards late in the first half to give the Dolphins decent field position in a drive to their second field goal.

Best performance on a muddy field: Miami's Olindo Mare, who drilled field goals of 42 and 41 yards in the first half.
