Caterer indicted on weapons charges

Eugenio A. Giolitti, operator of a deli and catering business, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of keeping unregistered weapons and an array of military explosives in his Kent Island home.

The grand jury charged Giolitti, 39, with four counts of possessing unregistered firearms, including three silencers and six claymore anti-personnel mines. The indictment handed up Thursday also charged him with improper storage of explosive materials.

Giolitti, a former Navy SEAL, was arrested Aug. 27 after sheriff's deputies responded to a dispute between Giolitti and a neighbor.
