A Woodbine man received a suspended one-year sentence yesterday after he pleaded guilty to damaging the new pickup truck of a New Windsor woman who spurned his demand to spend the night with him, court records show.
Jesse Schissler IV, 24, lived in Union Bridge when the incident occurred at 2 a.m. Sept. 12, court records show. Angered at the rejection, he kicked the 6-day-old pickup truck, damaging its side and tailgate.
He was arrested on a charge of malicious destruction.
After suspending the jail term, Carroll Circuit Judge Michael M. Galloway ordered Schissler to pay the woman $658 in restitution, be evaluated for drug and alcohol abuse, comply with any recommended treatment and remain on supervised probation for 18 months.
