Balto. County sheriff involved in rental

Baltimore County police were called to the Essex home of Baltimore County Sheriff Anne K. Strasdauskas last night in what was described as a tenant-landlord dispute.

Police were called as Donna "D.J." Wright, 31 - who'd lived in Strasdauskas' home for nearly a year - argued with the 46-year-old sheriff while moving out of the Celeste Avenue home.

Wright paid rent to Strasdauskas until this past March, when a knee operation left Wright with no income. Wright says she owes the sheriff about $2,000 in back rent. Strasdauskas, who said she is cutting her losses in the dispute, puts the figure at $5,400, saying that includes phone and cable TV bills.

At 9:30 p.m. friends and family of Wright finished loading a rental truck headed for Fayetteville, N.C.
