An article in the Aug. 28 editions of The Sun concerning the search for Tommy Davis, who presumably drowned July 15 in British Columbia, incorrectly stated where his parents stayed while they searched for their son. Joan and Paul Davis, of Timonium, stayed at Duncan Lake Dam, not in Vancouver.
The article also stated incorrectly the length of time that the water level of the lake was at half capacity to help with the search. The dam was not at half capacity from the time Davis was reported missing July 15. The dam was at normal operating level, reaching full capacity in late July, until the Davises asked B.C. Hydro to reduce the water flow Aug. 25 while they searched for their son, said Richard Spinks, field manager for Duncan Dam.
The Sun regrets the error.
