Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northwestern District

Theft/arrest: A man, 62, from the 3500 block of W. Belvedere Ave., was arrested Saturday when he tried to leave Rite-Aid in the 6700 block of Reisterstown Road without paying for several cartons and packs of cigarettes valued at more than $250. A female store clerk detained the man for police. The man was charged with theft and processed at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Burglary: Office equipment valued at more than $2,000 was stolen from a doctor's office in the 6800 block of Park Heights Ave. over the weekend by someone who may have entered with a key that had been lost or misplaced.

Theft from vehicle: Stereo equipment valued at $200 was stolen from a car parked in the lot of Parson's Auto Sales in the 6100 block of Reisterstown Road on Friday.

Stolen vehicle: A 1983 Ford pickup truck with tags 57H 863 was stolen in the 3600 block of Reisterstown Road over the weekend.

Stolen car: A silver-colored 1991 Subaru with tags HEY 597 was stolen Friday in the 5400 block of Park Heights Ave. after its owner left the keys in the vehicle.

Theft: A silver-colored 26-inch mountain bicycle valued at $400 was stolen from a storage locker in an apartment building in the 6300 block of Red Cedar Court over the weekend.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 5600 block of Elderon Ave. over the weekend through a rear basement window and stole a fax machine, video camera, telephone, two videocasette recorders, a bicycle and a bicycle helmet, all valued at nearly $2,000.

Stolen vehicle: A white 1998 Dodge van with tags 932008M was stolen in the 5900 block of Bland Ave. over the weekend.

Theft: A woman, 91, reported that someone entered her home in the 3000 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway on Saturday afternoon and stole her purse, containing several hundred dollars.

Stolen car: Police were seeking a red 1996 Chevrolet sedan with tags GRE 436 that was stolen in the 4700 block of Wakefield Road over the weekend.

Southwestern District

Theft: A 4-month-old pit bull terrier, video games and 20 compact discs, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen from a house in the 700 block of Lyndhurst St. on Saturday.

Vandalism: Someone used a length of wood to shatter the windshield of a 1986 Chevrolet sedan parked in the 4600 block of Manordene Road on Saturday. The windshield was valued at $400.

Northern District

Solen car: A 4-door 1990 Dodge sedan with handicap tags 93149 was stolen Saturday in the first block of E. 29th St.

Robbery: A woman, 85, was pushing a shopping cart in the 700 block of W. 40th St. on Saturday when a man shoved her aside and stole her purse, containing cash and property, all valued at more than $300.

Burglary: A lawn mower, leaf blower, edger and other lawn-care equipment, all valued at nearly $700, were stolen from a shed in the 3200 block of Whitney Ave. on Saturday.

Stolen vehicle: Police were seeking a 1990 Subaru with tags GEN 910 that was stolen Saturday in the 2600 block of Maryland Ave.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: A man, 21, was about to enter his car in a parking lot in the 7100 block of Darlngton Ave. about 2 a.m. Friday when he was forced into the vehicle by two men who implied they were armed with handguns. The man later told police he was driven to an unfamiliar neighborhood in Baltimore, where the men robbed him of more than $150, a cellular phone, cigarettes and a cassette tape before fleeing on foot. The victim, a resident of the Parkville area, drove from the city to the Parkville precinct and reported the incident.

Burglary: Jewelry and nearly $500 were stolen from a house in the 1000 block of Chesaco Ave. in Rosedale over the weekend by someone who entered through a rear window.
