Carjacking/arrests: Three teen-age boys were arrested early Sunday and charged with carjacking a vehicle from its owner in downtown Baltimore. The location of the carjacking was not available. About 6:30 a.m., police spotted the stolen 2000 Ford Expedition with Virginia vanity tags WEB JR. at Hayward and Cuthbert avenues and followed it onto northbound Park Heights Avenue. At West Belvedere and Elmer avenues, the vehicle stopped and the three occupants ran off but were caught. One youth had the vehicle owner's wallet. The youths, two of them 15 and the third 17, were charged as juveniles with carjacking and robbery and were processed at the Northern District juvenile detention center.
Theft of handgun: A .22-caliber semiautomatic handgun was stolen from a closet in a house in the 3300 block of Menlo Drive between June 1 and July 23. The owner told police several people had access to the dwelling.
Stolen vehicle: A teal 4-door 1997 Kia with tags DWH 104 was stolen Sunday in the 5400 block of Lynview Ave.
Stolen vehicle: A 1989 Mitsubishi with tags NG0069 was stolen over the weekend in the 3800 block of Chatham Road.
Stolen car: A red 1988 Nissan Sentra with tags HDX 264 was stolen Sunday in the 4200 block of Wentworth Ave.
Shooting: A man, 38, was in the 1700 block of W. Baltimore St. about 3:45 a.m. Sunday when he was approached by three men, one armed with a semiautomatic handgun. The victim tried to flee and was shot in the right knee and upper right arm. He was in critical condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Stolen vehicle: A 1993 Plymouth Voyager with Georgia tags 330 GRB was stolen in the 2100 block of Koko Lane Sunday.
Robbery: A woman from Freeport, N.Y., was about to enter her room at the Super 8 Motel in the 3600 block of Pulaski Highway about 10 p.m. Sunday when she was stopped by two gunmen who demanded her money. The woman turned over her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $40, and the two men fled.
Robbery/arrest: A boy, 13, was riding his bicycle in the 1100 block of Homewood Ave. about 3 p.m. Sunday when another boy threatened him and robbed him of $4. About 30 minutes later, the suspect, 14, of the 1200 block of Glyndon Ave., was spotted by police in the 800 block of Webb Court and was arrested and charged as a juvenile with robbery. The suspect was processed at the juvenile detention center at the Northern District.
Stolen vehicle: A burgundy 1993 Dodge Caravan with tags M377000 was stolen Sunday night in the 1000 block of Aisquith St.
Robbery: A man and woman were in the 3200 block of Belair Road about 11 p.m. Sunday when a gunman robbed her of $100.
Robbery: Two teen-age boys, one with a handgun, robbed a boy, 13, of his bicycle, valued at more than $100, in the 3500 block of Cardenas Ave. on Sunday afternoon.
Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 2200 block of Chesterfield Ave. over the weekend through a basement door and stole tools valued at $1,000.
Burglary: Someone entered a house under renovation in the 3000 block of Southland Ave. over the weekend through a window and removed more than 900 square feet of carpeting valued at more than $1,000.
Theft: After entering 2000 Market in the 2000 block of W. Pratt St. yesterday afternoon, two men began fighting. After the fight and while the attention of the employees was diverted, the men stole two videocassette tapes, three bottles of soft drinks and potato chips, all valued at nearly $15. Police said the fight was staged.
Theft: A part-time employee of Power Wash Unlimited in the 4800 block of Holabird Ave. is suspected of entering the truck-washing facility about 1 p.m. Saturday and stealing $170 and a power saw valued at $70.
Burglary: Two ladders, ceiling fans and a shop vacuum, all valued at more than $700, were stolen from the 2200 block of Ashton St. over the weekend.
Burglary: A 27-inch bicycle valued at more than $200 was stolen from a garage in the 9800 block of Hickoryhurst Road between July 10 and Saturday.
