Edible-plants tour

Hungry for something different? Bring your taste buds to Cromwell Valley Park Saturday. Hike through the Baltimore County park in search of edible plants, roots and fruits. Let your park tour guide separate the edible from the wild, bitter and poisonous. Discover and identify everything from wild berries to wild herbs, thyme, teaand mint. Then sample your findings with approval from your guide.

The hike takes place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and begins at the Willow Grove Farm, Cromwell Valley Park, 2175 Cromwell Bridge Road. $2. Call 410-887-2503 for reservations.

'Stuart Little'

You've read the book. You've seen the movie. Now you can catch "Stuart Little" live on stage. This weekend through Aug. 12, Theatre on the Hill performs E. B. White's classic children's story at Western Maryland College. This musical adaptation about the charming little mouse features colorful characters, witty songs and plenty of audience interaction. Playing Stuart Little is Sara Weiner of Owings Mills, and playing Snowbell the cat is Amanda Spears of New Jersey. After the show, audience members can attend an autograph party - meeting characters, taking pictures and gathering autographs in their Theater Activity Book, which each child will receive.
