Northwestern District

Theft from vehicle: Property valued at more than $160 was stolen Monday from a 1994 Toyota Camry parked in the 3600 block of Fords Lane.

Burglary: Several pieces of gold jewelry and a 26-inch mountain bicycle, all valued at nearly $2,000, were stolen Monday from an apartment in the 5900 block of Cross Country Blvd. The thief entered through a bathroom window.

Assault: A woman, 82, was walking in the 7100 block of Park Heights Ave. Monday when a man pointed a handgun at her and threatened to shoot her. The man, who was known to the woman, was being sought.

Stolen car: A 1997 Nissan Maxima with tags GPM 298 was stolen Monday in the 4700 block of Wakefield Road.

Burglary: A videocassette recorder, boots and a pair of shoes, all valued at nearly $300, were stolen Monday from an apartment in the 3600 block of Eldorado Ave.

Southern District

Theft: Tools valued at nearly $400 were stolen yesterday from a 1994 Toyota pickup truck parked in the first block of E. West St.

Eastern District

Assault: A woman was crossing the 2000 block of N. Broadway about 7 p.m. Monday when she was struck by a Ford truck with Virginia tags occupied by her husband but driven by another man. The woman told police that she heard her husband tell the driver to hit her. She suffered minor injuries and was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital and released. The woman was advised to seek a warrant charging her husband with aggravated assault.

Robbery try: A gunman entered Smiling Grocery in the 900 block of E. Eager St. about 8 p.m. Monday and announced a holdup. He fled without taking any money when an employee ran from the store, shouting that a robbery was in progress.

Burglary: Stereo equipment and a television cable box, all valued at more than $150, were stolen Monday from a house in the 900 block of Rutland Ave.

Theft from vehicle: A compact disc player, 12 compact discs and eight packs of cigarettes, all valued at nearly $450, were stolen Monday from a car parked in the 1500 block of E. Monument St.

Southwestern District

Robbery: A man, 42, was in the 300 block of S. Augusta Ave. about 12:30 a..m. Monday when a gunman robbed him of his MTA bus pass and $16, all valued at $30.

Burglary: Hardwood flooring and a gas-fueled boiler, all valued at $6,000, were stolen over the weekend from a house being renovated in the 2200 block of N. Rosedale St.

Burglary: Welding equipment valued at more than $1,400 was stolen from a garage at Mayflower Textile Services in the 2600 block of W. Lexington St. over the weekend.

Stolen car: A 2000 Oldsmobile Alero with tags HFD 354 was stolen over the weekend in the 4600 block of Manordene Road.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Barricade/arrest: A convicted bank robber being sought on a federal warrant charging him with violation of probation was arrested without incident about 3:30 p.m. Monday after he barricaded himself in his apartment in the 9200 block of Smith Ave. near Cromwell Bridge Road. After he refused to surrender, a county police hostage negotiating unit was summoned and the man gave himself up after a one-hour standoff. Pharez Charles Prince, 29, was in federal custody.

White Marsh Precinct

Bank robbery: A man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed Mercantile Bank & Trust in the 4200 block of Chapel Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 11 a.m. Monday.
