Children ages 7 to 11 can learn about a wide range of life forms in a five-session Junior Naturalist Program that will meet Wednesdays, beginning next week, at Downs Park.
The other sessions will be held July 19 and Aug. 2, 9 and 16. Children will join park ranger Stacey Bishop to learn about mammals, birds, insects, spiders, reptiles and amphibians, as well as trees and flowers.

Lions Club will sell tickets July 15, 16 for car raffle
The East Anne Arundel Lions Club will sell tickets for the annual Lions Club Car Raffle from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 15 and 16 at the Chesapeake Square Shopping Center in Glen Burnie.
The four prizes are a 2000 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer, and cash amounts of $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000. The drawing will take place Oct. 14 at the Apple Scrapple festival in Bridgeville, Del.
